American Goldfields Inc. (OTCBB:AGFL) is pleased to provide an exploration update on its Nevada gold properties.
Hercules Project
With encouraging results on previous drilling, further testing of deeper mineralized zones throughout the property is being conducted. Drilling is targeting structural zones responsible for low grade gold deposition at the surface. Drilling is progressing with six holes completed.
The company believes the Hercules property contains one of the most significant untested Comstock-type vein systems in the Western United States.
Cortez Trend Properties
Over the past year we have identified several drill targets, conducted mapping of the stratigraphy and structure, and executed an 8 hole drill program of approximately 2440 feet.
Regionally, the Crescent Fault, Bankop, and Bullion Mountain properties are located within an area which includes the prolific gold-producing Pipeline / South Pipeline / Cortez Hills / Pediment deposits.
Results of the current drill programs are expected to be available when laboratory testing is completed.
